The Role: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician
The PM&R Physician at HDRHC plays a key part in our Specialty Care Services. The position centers on delivering outstanding outpatient PM&R care, both in-person and via telehealth. Working closely with colleagues across disciplines—physical, occupational, and speech therapy, behavioral health, nursing, social work, and more—you’ll help ensure that every patient’s experience is comprehensive and coordinated.
Core Responsibilities
Provide high-quality PM&R clinical care, using both traditional and telehealth approaches.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Serve as a PM&R representative on facility and administrative committees.
Participate in quality improvement efforts and help refine care delivery models.
Mentor and support advanced practice providers.
Review PM&R eConsults and contribute to system-wide initiatives within the DHS Ambulatory Care Network.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates who are passionate about serving a diverse, medically underserved population. The ideal applicant will have:
Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited PM&R residency.
Board certification (or eligibility) from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Experience in general PM&R, with a commitment to excellence in patient care.
Experience in government or non-profit settings, pain management expertise, and strong communication skills are highly valued. Creative thinkers who thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment will find HDRHC a rewarding place to grow.
