Urogyneocology Physician (HUMC)

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology 

Harbor-UCLA , the Dept of OB/GYN and Division of Urogyneocology is seeking a full-time faculty to enter at the assistant or associate level who has a strong interest in fellow mentorship and scholarship.  Individual should be Board certified in FPMRS. We currently provide care for a busy service with 3 Urogynecologists, 2 Nurse Practitioners and pelvic floor Physical Therapists.  The division also has strong relationships with other services including colorectal, urology and geriatrics.  Fellows rotate at Kaiser Downey and there are 4 Urogynecology faculty who also collaborate through our close partnership with that institution.

Responsibilities of an academic urogynecologists include education and scholarship in addition to high-quality clinical care. Successful candidates will enjoy rigorously evaluating FPMRS care while also developing didactics and simulations for our trainees.  The ideal candidate is someone who currently has funding and would like to continue to pursue funding opportunities in pelvic floor research and fellow mentorship. Additional degrees in research design (Masters in Research, research training) will be viewed favorably. Harbor-UCLA is affiliated with the Lundquist Institute, and also is partnered with the UCLA CTSI consortium.

Opportunity for advancement is present for Assistant Fellowship Director. Urogynecology faculty do provide preceptorship for resident gynecology clinics and some gynecology ORs. In the clinics and OR at Harbor-UCLA, there are all levels of trainees, including students, residents and fellows. The applicant will also have the opportunity to see patients at our regional DHS outpatient clinics and perform outpatient surgery at the DHS MLK outpatient surgery center.
