The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center (OVMC), a public teaching hospital affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM), is seeking a Physician Specialist in Interventional Pain Management. OVMC is dedicated to caring for a medically underserved community and patients with limited access to healthcare. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, or Family Medicine; have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pain medicine; demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal skills; have a commitment to education; and contribute to OVMC’s academic, energetic, and creative multidisciplinary faculty. The appropriate candidate will be eligible for a professorial rank, commensurate with experience and previous appointments, in the Health Sciences series at DGSOM.
Essential duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluation and assessment of pain conditions
• Provide evidence-based interventional pain management procedures to patients based on appropriate clinical indication
• Ability to utilize fluoroscopy and ultrasound to facilitate pain management procedures
• Work collaboratively with other disciplines to optimize pain conditions
• Provide excellent teaching of medical students and residents rotating through OVMC
• Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and regular weekly didactic programs
• Participate in hospital and DHS committees at the discretion of the Department Chair
• Provide supervision of advanced practice providers
• Adhere to DHS, OVMC, UCLA, and departmental policies and procedures and code of conduct
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Engage in academically creative activities that benefit DHS patients

Required Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation, emergency medicine,
neurology, psychiatry, or family medicine
• Board-certified or board-eligible as determined by the respective specialty board
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in pain medicine
• California Medical License
• Strong commitment to education with an academic background suitable for faculty appointment at DGSOM
• Excellent clinical, teaching, and interpersonal skills
