Pediatric Nephrologist

FACULTY POSITION:

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Nephrologist to join an established academic program.

Serving 1.5 million people, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is a large academic health center with the only level I pediatric and adult trauma center in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. The hospital has a 28-bed general pediatrics unit, a 10-bed PICU, a Level III+ NICU, a pediatric emergency department, and the full range of pediatric and surgical subspecialties.  Our mission encompasses medical education, clinical service, research, and advocacy.  

 The successful candidate will deliver outpatient and inpatient care for individuals with renal conditions, from birth to adulthood. Duties will include patient care, teaching of residents and medical students, and participation in clinical research or other scholarly endeavors that will lead to academic promotion. 

 Candidates must have an MD/DO degree, Board Certified in Pediatrics and eligible or certified in Pediatric Nephrology, and be eligible for a California medical license. 

 Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. Faculty appointment is with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The successful applicant will also be a member of The Lundquist Institute, one of the largest independent biomedical research institutions in the US, with over $80 million of extramural funding awarded each year.   

 There is the potential for federally supported loan repayment for the successful candidate.
