Pay and Bonus Incentives Plan

Salary

General Salary Adjustment as negotiated or as approved by the Board of Supervisors (for management physicians) in which step advances are annual until the range maximum is reached.

Special Pay Practices

Stand by rate $10 per hour; Weekend, Evening, & Night Shift Differential of $7 per hour; Physicians who work a weekend evening/night shift would receive an additive to $14 per hour.
Relief Physicians can work at 135% of their hourly rate.
Relief Physician for Corrections can work at 175% of their hourly rate.

Bonuses

Physicians who have obtained certification by the appropriate American Medical Specialty Board in the specialty to which he/she is assigned is entitled to a 5.5% monthly bonus.

OB/GYN General who is privileged by the hospital to provide Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery and/or Inpatient Gynecology and Gynecological Surgery will receive a 10% monthly bonus.

Forensic Pediatricians at DHS Medical Hub Clinic will receive a 5.5% monthly bonus.

Physicians permanently assigned to work at High Desert health system shall receive 10% of the base salary as additional compensation.

Corrections Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/General-Endocrinology Physicians will receive a 5.5% monthly bonus.

3% monthly bonus for the following specialties if assigned to Item #5477 (Physician Specialist, MD)

5.75% monthly bonus for Neurosurgery & Thoracic Surgery if assigned to Item #5476 (Physician Specialist, MD).

4% monthly bonus for Psychiatry if assigned to Item #5476 (Physician Specialist, MD).

5.5% monthly bonus if a Physician is assigned as a Supervising Mental Health Psychiatrist, Chief Mental Health Psychiatrist, or Mental Health Clinical Chief continuously assigned to work in the County jail mental health facility.

5.5% monthly bonus if a Physician is assigned as a Supervising Mental Health Psychiatrist, Chief Mental Health Psychiatrist, or Mental Health Clinical Chief permanently assigned to High Desert.

2.75% monthly bonus for a Physician employed as a Mental Health Clinical Chief certified in:

$100 per month Bilingual Bonus if passing the DHS bilingual exam.
