Part-Time Pediatrician (contract)
High Desert Regional Health Center (HDRHC) and South Valley Regional Health Center (SVRHC) are seeking pediatric board certified/eligible pediatricians and PGY3s with CA medical license to provide contracted pediatric services in the urgent care setting. Both HDRHC and SVRHC are part of Los Angeles County’s Department of Health Services (DHS) Ambulatory Care Network, and provide high quality outpatient health care to patients and families in the Antelope Valley (in northern Los Angeles County).
Both Urgent Care Centers are open 8 am to midnight daily, including weekends, and both have on-site radiology, pharmacy, and lab, along with telephone access to pediatric sub-specialty support when needed. Typical pediatric services delivered include splinting, suturing, asthma exacerbation treatment, pharyngitis management, otitis diagnosis and management, and bilirubin checks. Shift hours are flexible. Pay is competitive, and may include bonus for distance!
High Desert Regional Health Center (HDRHC) is located in Lancaster, California. It is a new facility that serves the Antelope Valley community, which includes the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster. Antelope Valley is the most populous area of the High Desert region and Lancaster is the largest city in High Desert. Lancaster has over 600 aces of planned parkland, which includes parks, picnic areas, and sports facilities.
Having witnessed a population boom in recent decades, the Antelope Valley communities served by the South Valley Health Center has become increasingly diverse, with populations approaching 475,000 people. The care provided at the center reflects that diversity. Because of the vast geographic area served by the center, primary care services are provided through the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model where your medical home team coordinates care, regardless of setting.
